Two-storey bowed angle block (No 12 The Square) flanked right by 2-storey, 3-bay house (Numbers 38, 40 Seafield Street) and left by similar dwelling (Numbers 8, 10 The Square). Block attributed to William Robertson, 1823. Harl pointed rubble, with contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins. Ground floor of centre bowed bay much altered with modern shop front. Three-bay centre angle slightly recessed and defined by margins (mirroring Numbers 7, 9 The Square, opposite). Single centre entrance to Numbers 8, 10. End and ridge corniced stacks with slate roofs, bowed and piended at angle.
