Details Home farm dated 1816. It is shown on historic OS maps as a quadrangular steading with an L-plan range to the south-west and ponds to the west and south. Current OS maps show various alterations and both ponds have been infilled. The B-listed large former courtyard farm steading with west range now demolished. Rubble built with finely tooled ashlar dressings. Segmental-headed archway in centre of the south elevation surmounted by square crenellated clock tower rising 3 stages above wallhead. Window in centre of first and second stages in the south front with clock face in each elevation of upper stage. Small leaded domed belfry supported by four slender columns stands on top of tower with apex weathervane. Corresponding crenellated square tower rises single stage above segmental-headed archway in former centre of the north elevation, flanked on the west by surviving single bay of former dwelling and on the east by a 3-bay house later raised to accommodate wallhead dormers. End stacks serving these houses rise above wallhead of tower with flight-holes in all faces serve dovecot in upper storey. West inner face of Ethe east range is largely taken up by arcade of 12 basket-arched cart bays below regularly spaced granary windows. Further range of four cart bays, also below granary windows, flank inner face to east of clock tower. The former stables with swept dormered loft windows. All cart arches and entrances have finely tooled (droved) jambs. Varied roofing, brown Banffshire slates, grey slates and some corrugated asbestos.
