Suspension footbridge, constructed in 1905, presented by Mr Alexander Gordon, Hildenborough, Kent (as commemorated by a plaque on the bridge). The bridge was designed by Louis Harper of Harper and Co, and erected by James Abernethy and Co, engineers. It is a light lattice-truss span supported by steel-wire rope main cables and suspenders with lattice girder pylons with ball finials. The bridge was reconstructed in 1988, using as many of the original elements as possible (commemorated by a plaque, noting that the bridge was reopened by Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother). Damaged by flood in December 2015.
