Remains of two stone-walled huts with contemporary field system and clearance cairns. The western hut is depicted as a cairn on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps. Site visit in 1957 noted some 30-40 cairns, with possibility of others obscured by heather at that time. OS site visit 1971 recorded the huts as circular, the western (Hut A) measuring 11.5m in diameter with the wall spread to about 3.5m around and an ill-defined entrance in the east. Two rectangular trenches were dug into the interior by J Watson in 1969 and 1970. A trench has also been cut through the wall in the southeast revealing two outer facing stones and rubble core but no inner facing stones. The second hut (B) to the east measured circa 8.5m in diameter within the wall spread. The northeast arc is mutilated and there is no evident entrance. RCAHMS site visit 1991 recorded the western hut circle (NGR NJ 0336 4682) as 7.5m diameter with entrance possibly to the south, the more easterly circle measuring 6.4m by 5.6m with entrance to the northeast. Small cairns measuring up to 6m in diameter and 0.5m in height are scattered about the hill-side amongst which are a number of lynchets and banks.
