Details Fountain, set within the central square at Tomintoul, built in 1915 by Lion Foundry, Kirkintilloch, and gifted to his native village by Robert Gordon. It is a square cast-iron drinking fountain, with chamfered angles and lion head water spouts to each face with projecting semi-circular basins below. It stands on a square, stepped platform, flanked by two cast-iron stools to the North and East, that are inscribed 'STEP UP BAIRNS'. The fountain is surmounted by painted stone female figure bearing an urn on her head.
