Details Late 18th/early 19th century kiln barn converted as cottage, set within Ballindalloch Castle designed landscape (NJ13NE0004). On historic OS maps it is named 'Little Bow'. It is a 2-storey, irregular 4-bay east facing house. Rubble built with tooled granite dressings. Off-centre entrance masked by glazed porch. Later entrance (to kiln) in centre of piended south gable with small window above with chamfered margins. Granite window lintels with seating for former iron grills. Modern glazing. End stacks with heavy 'thick stanes'. Inserted ridge stack and graded Banffshire slate roof which is piended at south.
