Details Farmhouse built in 1835-40, probably by William Robertson, with later additions. It is a south-facing, 2-storey, 3-bay house constructed from rubble, with tooled and polished ashlar dressings. It has a slightly advanced and pedimented centre bay, with a centre entrance. There are flanking later projecting canted ground floor windows and coped end stacks on a slate roof. A modern (1965) single storey, flat roofed sun parlour projects from the west gable. The house is constructed on the site of an earlier house, possibly the site of a manor. A memorial to the Innes' of Inchstelly is set in the gable end wall of the old Alves Parish Church (NJ16SW0004), possibly relating to the earlier use of this site.
