Bridge on military road. It is a single span, rubble-built arched bridge, approximately 3.65m wide narrowing to the west side. The span is circa 9.14m, with parapets 45-53cm high. The western approach has long since gone. Two thirds of the northern half has collapsed, owing to undercutting by stream of the west pier, rendering the structure unstable. A watching brief was carried out in October 1997 during excavation of a trench across the military road (NJ20NE0013) on the west side of the bridge. Monitoring in November 1997 during excavation of two trenches beneath the bridge for temporary supports. Repair and consolidation works to the bridge were carried out 1997-2000.
