The Macdowall Bridge allows access over the Macdowall Burn. It was built in 1830-40 from mixed granite rubble, and was probably constructed by William MacDowall Grant, Arndilly, after the damage caused to the estate by the floods of August 1829. It was later re-pointed in 1987. It is a 3-span bridge with tooled and polished ashlar granite dressings. A tall centre tooled granite arch ring has tall narrow flanking flood arches, blocked detailing to band courses, rusticated ashlar end piers and a centre pilaster strip terminating in a square cap, decorating a tooled ashlar parapet cope. The approaches are curved and splayed. The approximate spans are 10 feet, 40 feet and 10 feet.
