Details Walled garden and loggia to the south of Aberlour House (NJ24SE0020), probably designed by William Robertson and dating to circa 1840, with subsequent additions 1855-60 including entrance probably by A and W Reid. A further entrance by Sir Robert Lorimer, was added in 1893. Large, irregularly shaped but roughly semi-circular rubble walled garden, brick lined on inner face with tooled ashlar cope and polished ashlar dressings. Pedimented tetrastyle porticoed roofless loggia (circa.1840) supported by four unfluted Greek Doric columns projects into garden from east portion of wall, close to recently widened entrance. Long straight west wall divides garden from house policies with two arched decorative entrances. The Chef's House is adjacent to the garden walls to the north-west (NJ24SE0096) and there are Gardeners' Cottages to the south-west (NJ24SE0082).
