Details Imperial Distillery, built in 1897 by Thomas MacKenzie. The production buildings are mainly of Aberdeen red brick with an iron beam and pillar framework to make it fire resistant. There is a masonry block of single-storey offices and a similar range of 1-storey bonded stores both with crow-stepped gables. The distillery is no longer in use. A programme of building recording was carried out in 2012 ahead of demolition, including the still house/mash house, tun room, canteen building, barley bins building, steeps building, saladin/maltings building, mill room, warehouse and cask preparation building, boiler house and store, peat shed, bio plant, chimney, oil storage tanks,
