Gothic Free church by Architect, Mr Bisset, 1862-63. Rectangular plan. Constructed of coursed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. Gable end to South Street with paired centre doorways recessed under moulded Gothic arch with nook shafts and centre colonnette to trumeau. 3 trefoil lights in tympanum. String course at impose level. 6 arcaded lancets (2 blind) above with nook shafts and continuous hoodmould. Louvred bull's eye above and crocketted finial to apex. 5-bay flanks to Hall Place, with paired Gothic lancets and alternating buttresses. Angle buttresses and steeply pitched slate roof.
