Details Former church, manse and associated buildings, built in 1861. The church was built as a Free Church, but later became the parish church of Glenbuchat, as its more convenient location was preferred to that of the Old Parish Church. It is of simple rectangular-plan, with a 4-bay aisless nave, gable bellcote, pointed arch openings, and louvered oculus. The principal south gable is in fine ashlar, the other elevations rubble built and harled, and the roof is of slate. Depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps, which show the church as one of a group of buildings which includes the former manse, ancillary incorporating stable, coach house and Sunday school (single storey building to the rear of the manse) and walled garden. The Manse (Listed Category B) is a 2-storey, 3-bayed M-gabled house, with stone pedimented first floor windowheads breaking the eaves, fine original glazing and a little altered interior. Boundary walls are or coped rubble, with square-section ashlar gatepiers and hoopwork iron gates to the south. The church was closed in 1983 and is now a private dwelling.
