Details The remains of large limekilns stand beside one of the quarry tracks at Parkmore quarry. There are three archways each with two kilns, built into a large stone-built face. They are now partially infilled and the bowls have been back-filled and are no longer visible. Another arch lies to the left of the kilns which has been built up so it is not clear if this was an earlier kiln. A number of trees and bushes are growing along the front and on the top of the kilns. They are not depicted on either the OS maps of 1846 or 1888. Thought to be built in the early 20th century.
