Details Gold ornaments were reportedly found in this area in the 19th Century. A lunula was found 1868 in material thought to have come from the cist knoll (NJ35NW0003). Found rolled up as a scroll, ornamented with incised lines. Two ear ornaments had been found 1863 from within the cist, with punched borders. One was lost, possibly melted down. Donated to National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland.
