Details Railway station, of which only the line (still the main line) and station house (NJ35NW0027) remains. Opened by the Highland Railway in 1858, it is a junction of the branch line terminating at Fochabers, and was closed to regular passenger traffic in December 1964. The station was originally called Fochabers High Station (named Fochabers Station on the OS 1st edition map), and renamed Orbilston Junction Station on 16th October 1893 as named on the 2nd edition. While the station is closed, the main line remains in use. The station house was built in circa 1858. The historic maps also show sidings, good shed, weighing machine, signal box and signal post. These have been removed and the former station road built over.
