Burial ground depicted on the OS 1st and 2nd edition maps, containing a small square structure. Rubble-walled enclosure with cast-iron gates dated 1846. Typical ancient burial ground lying in flat farm land, consisting of rectangular area of raised ground enclosed by low wall to create higher ground level within. Burial ground was formerly hub of Logie parish prior to amalgamation with Coldstone parish in late 18th century to form present Logie Coldstone parish centred upon Newkirk, which is equidistant between two ancient burial grounds of Logie and Coldstone. The site contains numerous gravestones from 19th century, including walled and gated enclosure for Farquharson family dated 1827, and several from the 18th century. The graveyard contains the Commonwealth war grave of Private George Ingram, Gordon Highlanders, who died 7 February 1915. Antiquity of site is suggested by St Wolock's stone (NJ40SW0001), standing stone to the west of the enclosure wall, though no carving can be discerned.
