Remains of a 17th to 19th century designed landscape of Glenbogie House (NJ42SE0055). The policies are wooded all around, mainly of Beechwoods. The house and garden are secluded amongst the trees from the road. The garden has been made upon very steep ground. There is no parkland in the policies though there is a field either side. The field to the west has young tree planting. The majority of the policies are wooded with a mixture of deciduous trees and a few conifers. The trees are predominantly very tall mature Beech, with some Sycamore, Birch and Lime. The policies slope steeply down to the south. West of the house there is a lawn, to the north of which there is a ten foot wall, this now encloses a sheltered patio. The water of Bogie bounds the property to the south. To the north of the west lawn there is a ten feet high wall which once supported a large greenhouse with boiler house, and a lower greenhouse to the east. South of the house on a steep southward slope there is a cleverly designed garden. There are no high walls, only a series of terraces with low walls and a central path, steps lead from each level. The terrace beds have small shrubs and lack plants. The terrace, second from the top has small lawns in what were herbaceous borders. On a wider lower terrace of sloping ground there are vegetable and fruit cages, with shrubs. There is a central sundial. The wall to the south of this terrace is two feet high on the upper level and five feet with buttresses on the lower level, there are no central steps. Each terrace has a path along its length. From the lower terrace to the east there are steps with two short walls and part terracing.
