Details Early 19th century mill complex, with a 2-storey rectangular meal mill and kiln. It is constructed from rubble, with tooled rubble dressings and some modern harling. There is a 3-bay South elevation, and a wheelhouse at the South gable with a paddle wheel lean-to rear extension. There is a slate roof, with a revolving ridge cowl to the kiln. Some machinery survives in an otherwise gutted interior. A long mill lade leads from the River Isla. On the 1st edition OS map of 1846, two further buildings are depicted to the South of the mill, with another L-shaped building lying circa 100m to the South-West, with a main North/South orientation. By the 1888 map edition this building is depicted as disused, and only one building lies circa 10m to the South-West of the mill. Apart from the mill, all other buildings have now gone.
