Gatehouse, in residential use, built in 1863 by Alexander Ellis and James Giles. It is a single storey, two-bay, L-plan gabled gatehouse, constructed from harled rubble with painted granite margins to the openings, four-pane sash and case windows and a grey slate roof with lead flashing. There is an advanced gabled bay facing the driveway, with the former entrance obscured by a later addition. The gable ends have semicircular-arched bipartite windows, and there are overhanging eaves with exposed rafters and a lean-to later addition to the rear. Low, coped rubble quadrant walls terminate in square, pyramidal capped entrance piers. It is contemporary with Course House (NJ50NW0085).
