Details Walled garden, gazebo and a designed landscape around Whitehaugh House (NJ51NE0036), dating from the 17th to the 19th century. The garden was probably designed by John Smith in 1831-38. It is roughly square in plan with rounded angles. To the north of the walled garden is an octagional ashlar-fronted gazebo with a ledge at the first floor, and 17th and 18th century datestones built into the rear. To the west of the walled garden is a coach house (NJ51NE0082). A considerable part of the estate at one time belonged to the Knights Templars.
