Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps, within the village of Duncanstone (NJ52NE0073). The 1st edition 25 inch (1870) shows two long rectangular buildings joined on an L-plan with a horsemill is attached to the south side of the east-west building. By the time of the 2nd edition, these had been altered to form a U-plan steading open to the north, still with an attached horsemill to the south. A cottage has also been added to the west. The horsemill has since been removed. A survey of the steading was carried out in 2013 prior to demolition. It comprised a double byre in the north west wing and single byre behind it in the main part of the building, separated by wooden partitions. The main central part of the steading was used for cleaning and storing of feed. There was a barn mill, and a grain loft above where the oast were stored for winter feed. The north east corner comprised a cart shed and stable with bothy above and would have been used to house some of the farm servants. At the rear of the steading was a neep shed, for storage of turnips which were fed to the cattle in the winter months.
