Site of a possible recumbent stone circle, as depicted on the OS 1st edition map. According to the OS Name Book (1886) a circle of upright stones about 45 ft (13.7 m) had been removed some 60 years previously, and had been found to be paved with stones to a depth of several feet. A short length of paved causeway leading to the northeast was also found. OS in 1967 found no trace, and suggested that the stone circle referred to was the same as NJ52NW0024. RCAHMS site visit in 1996 recorded that nothing was visible at the location indicated on the 1st edition map, but suggested that the description in the Name Book to paving and a circular stone built structure circa 14 m in diameter suggested a hut circle and/or possibly a souterrain rather than a stone circle.
