Details The Clatt war memorial stands in the churchyard at Kirkton of Clatt and commemorates the dead of both World War I and II. It was sculpted by Robert Williamson, of R. Morren Ltd, Aberdeen. It is a tall fluted column with an unusual finial of four curved terminals with a series of small discs decorating them. The column stands on top of a slightly tapering rectangular plinth of two steps, which in turn sits on a two-stepped base. The stepped base bears a relief of rifle and sword and ‘for God and righteousness’.A second small memorial to World War II is set into the east wall of the church. Full transcription of memorials held in AAS Digital Archive.
