Feature: NJ52NW0231 - WALLED GARDEN STONE MUSEUM, LEITH HALL
More Details here

Rectangular lean-to, depicted on the later OS historic maps, measuring 5.5 m x 3.7 m against the north (rear) side of north wall of former greenhouse (NJ52NW0230) of Leith Hall Walled Garden (NJ52NW0131). The walls are of brick at the base with glass in a wooden frame above, with steps going down to the doors at each end. The lower wall is internally re-lined with breeze block. On back wall there is a brick pillar the near east end, which may have been a boiler chimney. A square blocked area near the west end corresponds to the door scar on the main greenhouse wall. The internal floor level has been raised. This building can be interpreted as the former boiler house of the greenhouse, as it is common for a boiler house to be behind the greenhouse wall as it kept the functional aspects of the greenhouse away from the display area. It was previously used as a potting shed, now in use as the walled garden stone museum.
