Hut circles, enclosures and field system, remains of a fermtoun. The earlier site comprises two large roundhouses measuring up to 12m in diameter, 2-3.5m wide, 0.5m high, with clearance heaps and field banks marking a field system. Beside and partly overlying it is a medieval fermtoun consisting of the foundations of turf and stone enclosures representing houses, pens and yards. Field survey shows an area 100m east-west by 110m enclosed by an irregularly curving bank, presumed to be medieval, punctuated by four or more entrances. Rectangular houses of fermtoun average 15m long by 4-8m wide. Areas of rig and furrow lie around with hollow-ways to east and west. A small area of narrow rigs is visible to the southwest which underlies the fermtoun, making them earlier.
