Remains of a Recumbent Stone Circle and mound. It is a very distinct artificial mound with four great stones. Two of the stones are prone on the slope of the mound, the third appears to have been moved off it entirely. The fourth is the great recumbent, called the 'Iron Stone', which gives off a clear metallic tone when struck. Traces of much weathered concentric rings which lie on the northeast side of the stone may be artificial. Two other stones on the ground are the remains of an interior setting. There is a low mound contained within the stone circle.
