Details Former walled garden, probably built in the late 18th century. It is shown on the 1st edition OS as having buildings on the outside of the north wall at the north-west corner and the outside of the east wall at the north-east corner. On the 2nd edition OS map the northern building has been removed. Current OS maps show the eastern building has also been removed, and a farmstead added that takes up much of the eastern half of the walled garden. It is enclosed by high random rubble walls at the north, west and partially at the south. There are four recessed bee boles in the south aspect. The western end of the south wall forms part of a walled passage between the lodge (NJ56SE0124) and mansion (NJ56SE0015). The tooled ashlar cope was removed at the eastern end of the north wall to accommodate a modern riding stables, of which the wall now forms the rear elevation. There is a circa 1600 dovecot in the south-east corner (NJ56SE0127).
