More Details here

A belvedere in the form of a domed arcaded rotunda stands in a commanding position on Hill of Doune overlooking Banff and Duff House (NJ66SE0007). Forms part of the Duff House designed landscape (NJ66SE0225). Designed by William Adam, it was commenced in 1737 but was still not completed by 1743. It was restored in 1985-6. It is covered with modern harl with ashlar margins and dressing. Six round-headed keystone arches rise from a continuous plinth to form an arcade. There is a band course at impost level and another with cornice at the wallhead. A domed harled rubble roof is capped by a renewed square facetted sandstone finial which is crowned by a small ball finial.
