Presbytery, still in residential use, built by Alexander Ellis, architect, dated 1870 and built as one with the neighbouring church (NJ66SE0278). It is a two-storey, asymmetrical three-bay house abutting the church, and together forming an L-plan. The building is constructed from dark whinstone with grey ashlar dressings and margins, same as the church. The centre entrance is flanked at the north with a bay window, and south by a canted bay window rising full height, terminating as s facetted spire. Inscribed over the porch is 'Mount Carmel AE 1870'. The initials AE could stand for the architect. There are corniced end stacks to the slate roof.
