Details Remains of former Boyndie parish church, built in 1773 by local architect William Robertson, to replace the Old Church of St Brandan at Inverboyndie (NJ66SE0015), with later additions and alterations. It is a simple rectangular church, harled with tooled ashlar margins and dressings and a slate roof. Six plain square-headed windows are regularly spaced in the south elevation, with two shutter hooks surviving each side. Each gable has a round-headed gallery window, also with shutter hooks. The east gallery window has been lengthened to light the east end of the re-cast interior. The west gable has a tall birdcage style bellcote, the east a ball finial. There is a single storey, 2-bay rear vestry, and a gabled porch dated 1922 projects from the west gable. The session room was added on the north side in 1880. Internally, there is a late 19th century pulpit, communion table and organ at the east, a gallery at the west, and plain pews. The windows have simple lattice-pane glazing with some coloured glass, probably of late 19th century date. It remained in use as the parish church until 1996. It was damaged by fire in 2000. A photographic survey was carried out in 2015.
