Remains of a 17th to 19th century designed landscape. The policies cover approximately forty acres. There is a little over one hundred acres of parkland. Twenty acres of the policies are woodland, of mixed but mostly deciduous woodland. These surround the house, but to the south and to the west are vistas. There are the remains of several fountains, including one in a now derelict building within the water garden to the south-west of the house. To the east of the drive is a grass tennis court. The Walled Garden (NJ70NE0168), of two and a half acres, has mid-nineteenth century gazebos at the south corners. This garden was used as a market garden from 1950 to 1979. Most of the pathways and walks are now overgrown. The vista to the west includes the former Howff Wood and the Skene Mausoleum.
