Details Parish church, built in 1819, designed by Archibald Simpson, and associated graveyard. Rectangular in plan, built of granite ashlar in Gothic style, with a buttressed and pinnacled west end topped by a pyramid-roofed bellcote. It has an end gallery perpendicular to main body of church. It contains the sacrament house from an earlier church built on same site circa 1528, which probably began as the castle chapel. Within the graveyard is a Pictish symbol stone (NJ71NE0026). The arched gate to the graveyard is the war memorial (NJ71NE0150). Within the graveyard there are four World War I Commonwealth war graves.
