Farmstead still in use. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition map which shows four rectangular buildings arranged around four sides of a court, with a further two buildings to the east. The layout is unchanged on the 2nd edition map. One of the eastern buildings has since been removed and the other is depicted as disused on current OS maps. The other buildings remain in use. A standing building survey of the steading was carried out in June 2015. The steading was constructed in a single phase in the early 19th century and comprises ranges on three sides of a courtyard with a bothy on the fourth, southeast, side. Part of the northwest and northeast ranges have been converted to residential use. The buildings are constructed of large fieldstone with cherry cocking. The southeast end of the southwest range has been a cart shed and has two cart doors. The northwest end of this range was a mill, for which a waterwheel was situated on the southwest wall.
