Former farmstead and cottage, now in residential use. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition map which shows a group of at least six buildings, two of which are on an L-plan, with two wells and a pump depicted to the southwest of the buildings. The buildings appear to have been replaced later in the 19th century as the 2nd edition map shows a very different plan. The farmstead now comprises a C-plan steading, open to the south, a small rectangular building to the south, and an L-plan house with attached enclosure to the south west. The previous wells and pumps are no longer shown, with one of the former wells shown as a pump. Part of the steading appears roofless on a recent vertical aerial photograph. The cottage is not shown on either the 1st or 2nd edition OS map. The former farmstead buildings are now residential properties, consisting of Nos. 1-3 Tillybin Steadings, Tillybin Farmhouse, Tillybin and Swallow Cottage.
