Built c.1454; enlarged 1563-76; panel dated 1576; additions and alterations 1614, 1617-8 and 1795; additions (likely) of buildings at North entrance gate and main staircase c.1824; interior of library and other alterations 1830-8; design for large alterations - not executed 1921; drawings for stables dated 1923-6; restoration work - left unfinished sometime after 1928; repairs, alterations and remedial work to stables 1996.
