Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. The OS 1st edition map shows a long range of buildings on the south site of the road, along with the farmhouse and garden enclosure. On the north side is another range of buildings with two internal courtyards and a horsemill. By the 1888 2nd edition the eastern part of the south range has been removed. The former farmhouse has been converted into two cottar houses (LIsted Grade B). The western part of Cottar House dates to the late 18th century. It is 2-storey and 3-window with skewputts, and with a chamfered staircase window. The eastern part is of later date, advanced, with outshot on south side with 2 dormer heads. A lintel with 3 concentric rings, on the north elevation, is part of a Pictish symbol stone.
