Historic graveyard, associated with chapel and church which formerly occupied the site (NJ72SE0015), and later cemetery. The old graveyard has a good collection of 17th century gravestones within it, notably that to Walter Innes of Ardtannes (1616). There are also ball-capped gatepiers which are Listed category B. A mortsafe tackle formerly in the graveyard was moved to Inverurie Museum (now closed, see also NJ72SE0015 for info on mortsafe). Also within the graveyard are four Pictish symbol stones (NJ72SE0011), and the remains of a 12th Century motte and bailey castle (NJ72SE0013, NJ72SE0127). The graveyard contains 11 First and Second World War Commonwealth war graves.
