Details Monument commemorating the Battle of Harlaw (NJ72SE0006), commissioned in 1911 from the Burgh of Aberdeen to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the battle. Designed by William Kelly and inaugurated in July 1914. It is a solid battered hexagonal turret circa 40 feet (12 metres) high, with red granite dressings and banded inscriptions. The monument is an Ordnance Survey trigonometrical survey intersected station (sighting point) and was depicted on the 5th edition OS map.
