Details	Site of a farmstead recorded during trial trenching in 1996 ahead of development in a field opposite the Liggars Stane (NJ72SW0008). Three 20 x 4m trenches were dug, revealing the vestigial remains of an Early Modern farmsteading, comprising a small number of postholes, remains of a possible foundation trench, and remains of a wall. The farmstead is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition OS maps. The only finds, modern midden material, were recovered from the topsoil.
