Standing stone, recorded by RCAHMS, which stands beside a farm track leading from Balquhain to Burnside of Balquhain. A watching brief (NJ72SW0210) was undertaken by Cameron Archaeology on September 16th 2016, during a topsoil strip of a 100 m section of a cable corridor, 1.8 m in width, through the eastern side of an area of cropmarks (NJ72SW0180) and adjacent to the East Blairbowie standing stone. This followed on from a walkover survey ahead of cable laying for SSE (NJ62NE0181).
