Gifted to the monastery of Arbroath in 1214; mentioned in taxation in 1275, received donations in 1328; church erected into prebend of Old Machar 1412; new parish church built 1794. 1635 bellcote; bell dated 1556 or 1557; clock 1797. 1636 monument; 1696 wall tomb; fresco from old church discovered 1861. Listed 16/04/1971.
