Details Mansion and site of manor. Former small mansion house of 2-storeys. The derelict north wing is dated 1694 at the skew, but it may include earlier work for the manor withstood a brief siege in 1621. There is a moulded south doorway to the former court: a semi-circular north projection probably originally contained a stair. The southeast wing at right angles is mid 18th century in date. There are piend angle scroll skews and elliptical window at the south gable. It has a 6-window front, chamfered openings and a late porch addition. Only the base remains of a courtyard wall on the south. East of the house was a walled garden. During the 17th century Hatton belonged to a branch of the Meldrum family who sold it in 1709 to the Duffs of Hatton. Subject to fire damage (date unknown, possibly 2022).
