Former Newhills Parish Manse depicted on the OS 1st edition as an L-plan building with a walled garden to the east. The house had been extended by the time of the 2nd edition map. It was originally 2-storey, 3-window built of ashlar, with a single-storey west wing by John Smith 1829-30, and two-storey East wing by William Henderson 1858. The first floor of the original part has been reduced by two-thirds and the west wing demolished. The garden wall is of coped rubble. To the west are offices (NJ80NE0105).
