Remains of a farmstead depicted on historic OS maps, named Upper Buxburn on the 1st edition. The 1st and 2nd edition maps both show a long L-plan range with a parallel long range to the northwest, a smaller L-plan building to the southeast, and two long ranges to the east. Site visit by CFA in 2022 (as part of an EIA cultural heritage assessment) recorded that the farmhouse has been demolished and all trace of the building removed. Only part of a yard wall is now upstanding, along with areas of hardstanding and parts of the boundary wall.
