Details Remains of rig and furrow on a slight south facing slope within a wooded area managed by the Forestry Commission as part of woodland walks. The area covers 190 x 110m. Banks to the north and south edges may represent the original field boundaries. The ridges are between 5 and 10m in breadth. Rig and furrow was a method of cultivation practised in areas of the Scotland and appears to have been created through excavation by spade rather than plough.
