Details Cairn of granite blocks. There is no evidence of a kerb. This cairn lies 40 metres north east of the recumbent stone circle on Binghill. It measures 6 metres in diameter and 0.5 metres high. A hollow in the centre suggests that there has been an amateur excavation in the past or that there has been a collapse in the centre of the structure and the burial may have subsided. Also at Binghill is a site that was surveyed in the Ordnance Survey Name Book 71 and appeared on the Ordnance Survey map 1867 - 1869. It was described as being a large tumulus composed of rough stones. That cairn lies on the crest of a scarp to the south of the recumbent stone circle and was probably a garden feature. Without archaeological excavation it is not possible to confirm when these cairns were built.
