Farmstead dating to the early 19th century. It is depicted on the OS 1st edition 1867 map which shows a quadrangular steading enclosing a rectangular court, with at least one rectangular building to the south, and a house with attached garden enclosure to the east. By the time of the 2nd edition OS map another rectangular building had been added west of the steading and the east range widened. These buildings remain in use and new buildings have since been added, including within the steading court. Building recording of the steading was carried out by MAS in 2014 ahead of proposed conversion. The buildings shown on the OS 1st edition map are substantially intact although altered internally. The west range and parts of the north and south ranges have already been converted. The rest of the north range is now derelict. The west part was used for tied cattle, the outshot at the east end originally a dairy. The farmhouse is 2-storey with low wings.
