Details Site of railway station. In 1854 the Great North of Scotland Railway opened its section from Kittybrewster to Huntly, which included a station at Dyce. That station closed at the opening of the Buchan railway branches on 17 July 1861, being replaced by its successor station (Dyce Junction Station) further south (NJ81SE0091) at the junction of the Buchan branch of the former Great North of Scotland Railway with the main Aberdeen to Inverness line.
