A circular burial cairn (NJ81SW0015), at least three certain hut circles and four possible other hut circles and a cairnfield survive as upstanding monuments within woodland. GPS survey was carried out by C Shepherd in 2008. The area west of the track is characterised by numerous clearance cairns, one very large cairn (NJ81SW0015) a well preserved hut circle east of the cairn, and another well preserved hut circle (NJ81SW0041). There are possible enclosure dykes in this part of the wood, and a hollow-way enters the wood from its northwestern boundary and runs south passing the large cairn to the west. See also NJ81SW0065. East of the track running through the wood is also characterised by clearance cairns, with additional hut circles and linear and curvilinear features. Another holloway runs through the area.
